ABOUT
Bren María Vienrich-Felling (she/her) is a Peruvian-born filmmaker, educator, and multimedia producer. Bren’s work has explored the intersections of ecology, third-culture identities, memory and material image-making. Her films have screened at the London Short Film Festival, Cosmic Rays Film Festival, Durham UK Film Festival, Micropolitan Film Festival, Moviate Underground Film Festival, and the Buenos Aires International Film Festival.
She holds a BFA in Studio Fine Arts from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University. At Duke, she is a Duke Arts Administration Fellow, with also serving in the past as a Cinematic Arts Teaching Fellow, as well as a Kenan Institute for Ethics Fellow.
Bren’s multimedia practice spans art direction, video, film, animation, photography, illustration and design. With over fifteen years of experience in visual storytelling, she has worked with clients across higher education, healthcare, technology, nonprofit, retail, SaaS, and eLearning. Grounded in a documentary sensibility and a background in design thinking across many mediums, Bren approaches projects with curiosity, collaboration, and attention to craft. Whether producing short films, multimedia content or collaborating on special projects rooted in visual storytelling, she creates thoughtful, human-centered work that translates complex ideas into compelling stories and meaningful experiences.
